Where is the best place to stay for a group of 12 golfers playing in Ponte Vedra and St. Augustine, Florida?
When it comes to a vacation rental for a medium-sized group of golfers, I have had a lot of luck using VRBO.com (which stands for Vacation Rental By Owner). It usually has a robust list of properties (houses, condos, cottages, etc.), you can search by city, and the listings range from budget to luxury (including 10-bedroom homes). Most include photos and detailed descriptions, too.
Personally, I've found it creates a lot of fun and camaraderie when a golf group stays under one roof. And, since there is usually a full-sized kitchen, you don't necessarily have to eat every meal "out," which saves both time and money.
If this doesn't sound right for your group, you may also want to try Nice Vacation Rentals (based in St. Augustine) or the World Golf Village. Its Grande Villas (the largest are 2-bed, 2-bath) and Laterra suites (1, 2 and 3-bedroom unites) might be perfect for your group.
I hope this helps and we wish you the best on your upcoming getaway.
